How to Set Up an IMAP Email Account on iPhone
- Open Settings
- Tap the Settings app on your home screen.
- Go to Mail
- Scroll down and tap Mail.
- Add Account
- Tap Accounts.
- Tap Add Account.
- Choose ‘Other’
- If your email provider is not listed (e.g., Gmail, Outlook), tap Other.
- Add Mail Account
- Tap Add Mail Account.
- Enter Account Information
- Fill in the following:
- Name: Your name (as you want it to appear on outgoing emails)
- Email: Your full email address (e.g. accounts@palicoasthomes.co)
- Password: Your email account password
- Description: A label for the account (e.g., "Work Email")
- Tap Next.
- Choose IMAP
- At the top, make sure IMAP is selected (not POP).
- Enter Incoming Mail Server Info
- Host Name: mail.palicoasthomes.co
- Username: Full email address (e.g. accounts@palicoasthomes.co)
- Password: Your email password
- Enter Outgoing Mail Server Info (SMTP)
- Host Name: mail.palicoasthomes.co
- Username: Full email address (e.g. accounts@palicoasthomes.co)
- Password: Your email password
- Tap Next.
- Wait for Verification
- Your iPhone will verify the settings. If successful, you'll see checkmarks next to each entry.
- Save
- Choose what you want to sync (Mail, Notes, etc.), then tap Save.
Troubleshooting
- If verification fails, double-check:
- Spelling of mail server names
- Username (usually your full email)
- Password
- Port numbers and SSL settings (may require manual setup under Advanced)
- Incoming Server is 993
- Outgoing SMTP Server is 465
